In less than two weeks, the 21st ITS World Congress Detroit will get under way. The largest transportation technology event of 2014, it will attract more than 10,000 delegates to the home of America’s auto industry, Detroit, Michigan, from September 7 – 11, 2014. The world’s leading public officials, transportation innovators, business leaders, investors, researcher professionals, and entrepreneurs will gather to discuss and showcase the high-tech solutions that are reinventing mobility, fuelling smarter cities and redefining the intelligent transportation ecosystem to transform the way we move.
This event will stage the largest set of technology demonstrations in the 21 year history of the World Congress; a technical program that includes more than 275 sessions, with an all-star line-up of keynote speakers, a Chief Technology Officer Summit, and a high-level Policy Roundtable. The Cobo Center , home to the event, will feature more than 300,000 square feet of exhibits, bringing together all of the important players in the field of ITS, as well as a Youth Connections Pavilion and indoor track for youth challenges, the Entrepreneurial Village, and a next-generation Transportation Operations Centre.
It is still not too late to register, but if you can’t be there, then ITS International will again be on-site producing the Daily News. We will be your eyes and ears at the venue and will distribute a nightly e-newsletter containing all the major announcements and breaking news as they occur. Below are just a few examples of what you can expect from the largest and most important transportation technology event.
I sincerely hope you will find this service valuable and look forward to bringing you the best that America and the rest of the global ITS community has to offer.
Yours faithfully
